Before the Busy Bee Band & Honeybees departed for Elkins and their first performance, the Queen Bee, Band Commander and Assistant Band Commanders were presented with their Leadership pins to wear on their uniforms. This year's group was given a surprise as new pins had been purchased and the leadership will not only get to wear the pins throughout the 2006-2007 year, but will also be able to keep the pins after graduation.
In addition to the new Leadership pins, the band has purchased new Junior lapel pins that are given to members of the Busy Bee Band & Honeybees upon the completion of their 3rd year in the organization. The tradition of the Junior pin has been going on for several years with a few redesigns. |
